Finding Your Asian American Roots

May 31 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

Grant Din – a certified genealogist with over thirty years of experience researching family histories – especially for those with roots in Asia – will recount immigration stories of people from China – Japan – Korea – the Philippines – and India – and how these family histories were discovered. Learn how to use the resources of the library to embark on your own searches – and find out about local sites like the National Archives in San Bruno which houses tens of thousands of case files. The workshop will take place in the library’s 5th Floor Computer Training Center – so you will have a chance to explore during and after the workshop.

To see in advance some of Grant’s research – visit www.tonaidin.net.
