Between the Great Divide…Kashmir: Author Talk by Anam Zakaria

May 1 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed territory caught between two nuclear powers, India and Pakistan. The native Kashmiris have endured decades of artillery barrages and attacks from militants and soldiers of both sides. Ms. Zakaria will discuss her journey through Pakistan-administered Kashmir. Her deeply empathetic book brings forth the honest voices of native Kashmiri who are often ignored in discussions on the present and future of their home. These voices and Zakaria’s observations offer unique insight into this tragic ongoing situation. Location: The Learning Studio, 5th Floor, Main Library
