About

May is Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month. This celebration brings together diverse AAPI communities and showcases cultural pride through live performances at San Francisco City Hall.

San Francisco will kick off the festivities with the APA Heritage Awards Ceremony and Cultural Procession at the Herbst Theatre, followed by a festive reception and performances at City Hall.

City Hall

Performance Program:

  • Time: 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Check-in: 5:30 p.m.
  • Location: City Hall Rotunda (including the grand staircase)
  • Lineup: 8–10 cultural performances
  • Format: Song, dance, and other unique presentations
  • Max length: 4 minutes per performance

City Hall

Performance Stage:

Performers may choose from one of the following areas based on group size and setup needs:

  • Steps: Tiered staircase area, best for large groups and visual formations.
  • Platform: Raised, flat landing at the top of the stairs, ideal for medium groups and stage-style performances.
  • Ground Level: Open floor space at the base of the stairs, closest to the audience and good for interactive or flexible setups.
